A set of little portraits inspired by a certain 80s sci-fi trilogy. These were suggested/requested by top illustrator, artist and Solipsistic Pop editor Tom Humberstone. I hope he likes them.
Like everyone else of my generation, Back To The Future will always have a special place in my heart. It's one of the few perfect trilogies, in my opinion - from the sublime original, to the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern-esque sequel, and the bundles-of-fun cowboy third film.
It was tempting to do a set of 12 characters from the series, but Em suggested doing costumes instead and restricting it to the main characters. Her original pitch was 4 characters - Marty, Doc, Biff and Einstein the dog - in sets of clothing from 1885, 1955 and 2015 (except Einstein who would remain exactly the same). However, that would have meant missing out Marty's iconic 1985 get-up, so out went Einstein.
This will be available to buy as a print, along with the other sets, at the Carlisle Megacon on Saturday, and then on my online store from early next week.

HA! That's awesome! It's a nice way of playing with the portrait format that you've been using lately.
