NOLAN'S BATMAN

I went a bit Bat-crazy yesterday in anticipation of the new film opening tomorrow.  I got some new pens I wanted to try out and before you know it, I was sketching away the primary figures in the Nolan  trilogy.

I posted individual ones on Instagram and it went a bit crazy - my phone wouldn't shut up all night.  I forgot how popular drawing fan art can make you.  People really love the Joker.  I think Jim Gordon is my favourite, but there you go.

I rewatched both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight and have come to the conclusion that BB is an enjoyable, if flawed superhero movie that has a lot of brilliance to it, but is, on the whole, unsatisfying.
TDK, on the other hand, is AMAZING - a true masterpiece of the genre.  It probably says a lot about my attitude to superhero movies that my favourite one is the least superhero-y movie ever.
